For international orders, to obtain Shipping Insurance, please contact us before checkout. Any shipping insurance purchased is subject to the insurance provider’s terms and conditions, and claims are handled in accordance with those terms. GTE Engineering is not responsible for insurance claims or payouts.

Shipping Insurance – Terms & Conditions
When selecting shipping insurance at checkout, you acknowledge and agree that all coverage is provided by third‑party insurers and governed by their terms—not by GTE Engineering LLC. The type of insurance applied to your order depends on the shipment value and shipping method.
XCover Insurance (Ground Shipments Up to $10,000 USD)
For ground shipments valued at $10,000 or less, coverage is provided through XCover. By choosing XCover protection, you agree to the following documents:
XCover General Terms & Conditions
Shippo / XCover Shipping Protection PDS
Shipping Protection – Shippo (US)
Shipping Protection – Shippo (CA)
InsureShield® Coverage (Shipments Over $10,000 USD & All LTL Freight)
For shipments exceeding $10,000 USD and any LTL/Freight shipments, insurance is provided through InsureShield® (UPS Capital):
InsureShield Terms & Conditions
Insurance Policy Creation & Shipping Release Requirements
Every insurance policy is created specifically for each order number. Orders over $10,000 USD will not be released for shipment until GTE Engineering LLC has received and verified a copy of the issued insurance policy. GTE Engineering LLC will post the insurance policy number to the customer’s account once verified. Shipping will be released only after policy confirmation. Verification may take up to 48 hours.
Customer-Owned Insurance Policies
If the customer elects to use their own insurance provider, policies cannot be combined or duplicated; only one policy may apply. The customer’s insurance will be the primary and only active policy. Insurance policy changes or cancellations are non-refundable, even if the shipment has left our facility.
Claims Process – Managed Exclusively by GTE Engineering LLC
GTE Engineering LLC files all insurance claims on behalf of customers. Customers must not contact XCover, Shippo, or InsureShield directly. Customers must provide all required evidence and cooperate with GTE Engineering during claim submission.
Claim Resolution
If a claim is approved, GTE Engineering may replace or exchange the product at our discretion. Insurance payout refunds are not guaranteed and may be applied toward repair, replacement, or exchange. If a claim is denied by the insurer, GTE Engineering LLC is not responsible for reimbursement.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must retain all damaged items and original packaging unchanged and available for inspection. Damage or loss must be reported within 7 business days of delivery. Sufficient proof must be provided. GTE Engineering LLC may refuse to file a claim if evidence is insufficient or reporting is late. Customers using their own insurance understand that GTE Engineering insurance will be void.
Governing Law & Authority
All coverage is subject to insurer terms and GTE Engineering LLC policies. InsureShield disputes follow Georgia law per UPS Capital; XCover disputes follow the jurisdiction specified in XCover’s terms. Transactions with GTE Engineering LLC are governed by the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed.
By selecting shipping insurance, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms and the linked insurer policies.
