Service Description:

GTE Engineering provides a comprehensive flywheel rebuild and resurfacing service for Ferrari and Maserati M1-type flywheels.
This includes professional machining, surface restoration, and precision dynamic balancing to restore original operating tolerances and performance.

Our process ensures correct clutch engagement surface geometry and mass balance, maintaining factory rotational characteristics critical to F1 / E-Gear and manual transmission systems.


Service Procedures Include:

Disassembly and inspection of the flywheel assembly

Precision cutting/resurfacing of the friction contact surface

Balancing correction to the factory or customer-specified tolerance

Replacement of worn components if required (springs, hub bearings, etc.)

Cleaning, refinishing, and preparation for clutch reassembly


Optional Services:

Dynamic balancing verification (with customer option to approve balance certificate)

Clutch and flywheel assembly balancing as a matched unit for F1 / E-Gear systems

Proxy programming and system calibration support after installation

Technical Notes:

All flywheel machining and balancing operations are performed to ISO standards using precision measuring and calibration equipment.
Upon completion, the unit is test-fitted and verified for runout, concentricity, and proper engagement depth relative to clutch pressure plate and release bearing alignment.
